About

A small shop that takes on the whole job.

Deluxe Autoworks is a custom autobody and paint shop in Edmonton, Alberta, run by Mark Bowman. The work is classic cars and trucks — restored, repaired and finished properly.

One set of hands, start to finish.

A restoration falls apart when the bodywork, the paint and the mechanical work are treated as separate jobs. At Deluxe Autoworks they happen in the same building, in the right order, with the same person accountable for the result.

That means rust is repaired before primer goes anywhere near it, panels are fitted and gapped before colour, and the finish is cut and polished after assembly rather than rushed out the door.

We also take on cars that someone else started. Unfinished projects are common, and finishing one properly usually means undoing some of what came before it.

How we work

Three things we will not do.

01

Fill over rust

If the metal is gone, it gets cut out and replaced. Filler is for shaping a repair, not for hiding one.

02

Quote blind

An estimate means someone has actually looked at the car. Photos help, but they do not replace an inspection.

03

Rush a finish

Block sanding and curing take the time they take. Shortcuts in prep are visible in the paint a year later.
